R.A.I.D. TACTICAL ENGAGEMENT SYSTEM

he Responsive Actions and Integrated Disciplines (R.A.I.D.)  Tactical Engagement System is a fluid blending of the fighting arts developed around years of combat engagements at different distances in different environments with different weapon systems. There is never one single solution to all problems. The R.A.I.D system utilizes logical, combat-proven responses to defend against an enemy attack and allows the fighter to have the overwhelming tactical advantage in an offensive action. The R.A.I.D  system is an amalgamation of the combat mindset, empty-handed Martial Arts, Knife fighting, and Gunfighting techniques.  The R.A.I.D. Tactical Engagement System determines the best method of engagement against the assailant while mitigating risk to the Officer, allowing the Officer to utilize the best weapon, at the best time, in the best manner against their assailants.

OFFICER SURVIVABILITY

APPREHENSION AVOIDANCE COURSE (3,5 Days)

The Apprehension Avoidance Course encompasses techniques used to defeat restraints such as handcuffs, “flex-cuffs”, as well as improvised restraint devices.  It deals with the “how-to” of physically and psychologically dealing with initial incarceration (i.e. vehicle transport) by adversarial entities.  Students are shown that these techniques are effective even under the stress of the physiological and psychological effects of startle, fear, and imminent danger. This training is specifically designed for high-risk individuals who are subject to apprehension or kidnapping. Students will learn the proper “profiling” of individuals along with the proper mindset to deal with initial, temporary confinement.   All skills are mastered through hands-on practical application. The course culmination exercise utilizes scenarios based on the instruction provided in this module, allowing for the use of individual protective measures.  These exercises are purposefully designed to allow the student to use techniques learned in a dynamic and intense setting.

1 Day Urban Risk Mitigation and Movement Course

This course is designed as an urban/confined space movement course that mitigates risk to the Officer that is clearing alarm calls or abandoned buildings for search operations.. The use of single-person tactical engagements is counter to the team concept of Close Quarters Battle. Utilizing the same techniques is surely going to get the single Officer killed. These techniques were developed over years of “Lone Operator” experience and CIF Assaulter experience. Utilizing Threat Mitigation strategies works when a member of a team is separated from the unit or no one is around to assist with the movement. Training is conducted in a 360 Degree Modular Shoothouse with Live fire handgun training.

1 Day Urban Vehicle Counter Ambush Course

This course teaches students what to do when they are in vehicles and come under direct enemy fire in an ambush situation. The course teaches use of cover in and around vehicles, how to survive the initial attack and “bail Out” of the vehicle and return fire, move off the “x” and utilize team movement skills to maneuver to a safe location. This course starts out with basic structures of Non-Tactical non-armored vehicles and shows the damage caused by bullets in various parts of a SUV/car. The course then moves into the dry fire practice and implementation of proper cover and move techniques. Once students have mastered these skills in practice it then moves to live fire drills where each individual will have to cover and move from a vehicle into a fighting position with other team members. Students must have completed a Tactical Handgun course in order to conduct the live fire portion of this course. For students that have not done this or the unit feels it is not ready then they will utilize UTM rounds to accomplish the training.

3/5 Day High Threat Meeting Survivability Course

The High Threat Meeting Survivability Course was designed for Officers required to conduct undercover meetings in high threat unconventional environments. These operational meets are conducted with minimal personnel that relies strictly on themselves for immediate  Protection Measures. Because of this type of mission, the course was specifically tailored to teach skills needed in high-stress adrenal situations that require a different approach to complete. This course is not a typical CQB course or a Typical Gunfighter Course. These undercover officers are not part of a multiple-person assault team. The Tactics and Techniques used were developed by instructors that have operated in the Singleton environment and understand the unconventional roles of the undercover department members and their mission. This is not a basic Marksmanship/Tactics course and the Department members that attend must be capable of intermediate to advanced shooting abilities prior to attending. This training course will be conducted in a Crawl-Walk-Run manner. Raidon Tactics utilizes the Explain, Demonstrate, Imitate, and Mentor (EDI-M) Methodology of training by Special Forces Instructor (H) qualified Trainers with 20 years of Special Forces and Special Operations Backgrounds as Lone Operators and Case Officers. Trainers will give immediate feedback to students to correct deficiencies and ensure that students leave the course with a high degree of understanding and ability to execute the fundamentals and principles of the tasks trained. This instruction is given in two parts, minimal classroom knowledge modules and comprehensive skill-building modules executed in realistic environments.  This course is conducted in a high-risk environment and all safety precautions shall be adhered to. The Instructor to Student ratio shall be a  1:5 ratio for all training events because of the risk of injury.  The use of UTM MMR training rounds and Live fire ammunition are both utilized in task-driven and scenario-driven training iterations.
